Core features
Cuelio is built to help you search YouTube videos first. Find the line, ask the question, search the comments, and jump back to the exact moment without leaving YouTube.
Search-first workflow
Cuelio keeps the YouTube tab open and turns transcripts, AI answers, and comments into a searchable research layer beside the player.
Cuelio reads the active video context and looks for available caption tracks.
Find phrases, names, claims, pricing, errors, and examples with highlighted matches and result counts.
Ask a question about the video or find repeated reactions, complaints, and recommendations in the thread.
Open the supporting timestamp, copy the quote, or keep digging from the same search state.

Search long coding tutorials, demos, and conference talks for the exact command, tool, or implementation detail.
Extract claims, facts, quotes, and evidence from interviews, talks, demos, and podcasts.
Search comments, spot viewer reactions, and turn long videos into reusable research and content ideas.
Turn videos and comments into product research, objections, feature requests, and audience language.
Privacy posture
The core workflow is designed to run locally. Optional cuelioAI actions are explicit, source-bound, and easy to understand.
Read privacy notesCuelio does not require registration, login, or a user account. Core features — transcript search, comment search, saves, and history — run without identifying you.
Transcript data, cached video content, saved videos, search history, and settings are stored in local browser storage. They are never sent to our servers.
Cuelio generates a random anonymous install ID stored in your browser. It is used to enforce daily cuelioAI usage limits. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account.
When you ask cuelioAI a question, relevant transcript excerpts and your question are sent to our AI proxy. Your install ID is included to track daily limits. No other data is sent.
Comment data is fetched from YouTube when you choose to load it and stays in your browser. If you enable comment context for cuelioAI, selected relevant excerpts may be included with your question.
Cuelio requests storage (local data), scripting (to read video page context), and sidePanel (to open the side panel). No browsing history, location, camera, or microphone access is used.
cuelioAI answers are powered by Google Gemini via our proxy server. Transcript excerpts sent for AI answers are processed by Google according to their privacy policy. We do not store your questions or answers on our servers.
We may update this policy as Cuelio evolves. Questions about privacy can be directed to me@pean.dev.
Transcript search, timestamp jumps, and saved videos all run in-browser with no external calls.
cuelioAI is triggered only by your explicit action — never in the background, never automatic.
Every cuelioAI answer cites specific transcript timestamps so you can verify claims in the video.
AI by design
Cuelio is local-first by default. No transcript leaves the browser until you explicitly ask cuelioAI a question or request a summary.
