Cuelio Privacy Policy
How Cuelio handles transcript data, comment search, browser storage, permissions, and optional cuelioAI workflows.

No account required
Cuelio does not require registration, login, or a user account. Core features — transcript search, comment search, saves, and history — run without identifying you.

What stays in your browser
Transcript data, cached video content, saved videos, search history, and settings are stored in local browser storage. They are never sent to our servers.

Anonymous install ID
Cuelio generates a random anonymous install ID stored in your browser. It is used to enforce daily cuelioAI usage limits and is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account.

Account data, if you sign in
If you sign in with Google or email, we store your email address, display name, avatar URL, and locale to operate your account, daily AI limit, and subscription.

When you use cuelioAI
When you ask cuelioAI a question, relevant transcript excerpts and your question are sent to our AI proxy along with your install or account ID, used to track daily limits.

Comments and YouTube data
Comment data is fetched from YouTube when you choose to load it and stays in your browser. If you enable comment context for cuelioAI, selected relevant excerpts may be included with your question.

Subscription and billing data
Premium subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as merchant of record. Paddle collects billing details (name, email, payment method, country) under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your card details.

Permissions requested
Cuelio requests storage (local data), scripting (to read video page context), and sidePanel (to open the side panel). No browsing history, location, camera, or microphone access is used.

Sub-processors we use
We rely on Google Gemini for cuelioAI answers, Paddle for billing, and our hosting provider to run the API server. We do not store the content of your cuelioAI questions or answers beyond what is needed to return the response.

International data transfers
Some processors, such as Google Gemini, may process data outside Ukraine or the EU. We rely on the safeguards and contractual terms each processor provides.

Data retention
Anonymous usage counters reset daily. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request sent to me@pean.dev.

Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to processing. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Children's privacy
Cuelio is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
